How to “light-up” the San Clemente Pier

19 09 2010

Well, at least the underside of the pier…I was trying out a new 8mm lens and went under the San Clemente Pier close to sunset. If you venture out into the area where the water comes up to the high side of the sand you can see how the setting sun – hits the water and lights up the underside of the pier. This was pretty neat – since this area never gets seen and reveals a lot of character which is usually lost in images taken here. This images was comprised of 5 exposures taken in rapid fire as the water was soaking my shoes – I guess that’s just part of the price to try to capture a nice image.
