Rocks as Artwork – Dana Point

Just shot this this afternoon…Was shooting a few landscapes in Dana Point and walked down to the beach to see several groups of rocks that people have set-up close to the lifeguard station at the foot of the Funicular beach (off of Selva). This was the most striking structure – there are about 8 different “structures.” If you look closely you can see where the artist has used small pebbles to place between the larger stones to help balance the structure. Really neat, and a tribute to people’s appreciation of art that no one has disturbed the structures.
