El Adobe Restaurant

28 04 2010

This landmark structure in San Juan Capistrano features great food and a wealth of history. The wine cellar has some of the oldest construction in California. When Richard Nixon was President, it was one of his favorite places to dine when he was in town. You can see several photos in the eatery which show the streets being jammed with the Presidential vehicles during one of his visits.

The food is quite good and the menu has something for everyone. This image was shot late in the afternoon and shows the front and south side of the restaurant along with the huge tree on the property.
